We are building a retaining wall on site at our latest new rental property. However, it has not been handed over and is covered by the building company's insurance until then. I can't get house insurance, and therefore public liability until it has all the appliances in (which won't be until the night before tenants occupy) We are only using day labour paid by the hour to a man who organises them. What are the ramifications if one of them gets hurt on my land?

Who is building the wall ? You or a company under contract ? Workers Comp issue I would think. Public Liability doesn't cover workers.
