QLD Dakabin Waste Management Facility (and other dumps!)

I might put in an offer for a property near the Dakabin State High School but just realised the Dakabin Waste Management Facility isn't too far away. Can any Dakabin or North Lakes locals tell me if the odour is bad or where it tends to drift to? There haven't been any articles about it since 2014 in the CourierMail so I'm wondering if they've stopped the stink now that NorthLakes is established? Any local insights most welcome.

My other IP is near Swanbank in Ipswich which definitely gets the odours. Do homes near waste management facilities (aka DUMPS!) suffer in sale prices / ability to find renters? What's been your experience?

 

I grew up in the area and have an IP within a few kilometres and haven't had any issues. Driving down Old Gympie Road you can occasionally catch a whiff of it as you go past, but I'd say a 500m radius should be fine
