    Leonardo da Vinci painting sells for $450m at auction, smashing records

    Not sure if there's been a thread on this already but I was quite baffled by this auction. We had the news on at work and they had a live cross to the auction. Bidders throwing around $20 million bids like it was loose change and I didn't even think it was that nice outside of the fact of who the artist was. I'd want a bit more colour for that price personally :p

    Buyer has been thru several cycles, timed the market very well, has invested and saved wisely, and now seeking another investment market/opportunity to invest :cool:
