The simple part about QLD is,there is always one Cyclone that comes in from the sea and crossing the qld coastline i don't think there has ever been a year when at least one has hit some-where along cyclone alley ,and looking at the built up in the top end of Australia this year may be the same..

So it would be a good time to check all the storm water out-lets,gutters down pipes clean and running..
All tress near the properties trim back ,and re read your insurance policy and just see if the wording on strong winds --intense rapid flooding --storm surges are covered in your insurance cover..

Yup, and check if you're under-insured! Get an insurance valuer to check out your place every 3 years or so to get a reliable idea of how much cover you really need.
