After opinions.... a space like this, would you always go with 2 curtains or is 1 wide one ok? 20171015_142708.jpg

Top down roller blinds: I'd prefer 2 because you can separate the door on the right whilst giving some privacy still on the left. (but annoying if you want to open both)

Shutter vertical curtains: anchored on the left side, at least you can open it half way or fully with 1 controlling point.

    Personal preference is the latter.

I was going to suggest roller blinds too - they take up less room space (due to depth of curtains).

If you won't budge on curtains then you would need to consider how much room they have to stack when pulled fully open. If you have room, I would go with one, to the left because the curtain won't get as dirty away from the door.

    Curtains.
If the doors open in the middle, choose two curtains.
If it's a sliding door opening to one side, chose one wide curtain.
    (Photo looks like sliding door?)

I would do two sheer curtains.... Something light and not overbearing.

Would make it feel more secluded, but not good for privacy at night though...would still need thicker curtain(s).

This was my first thought as well. The view isn't great, but the shape of the security grills is quite classic, so I'd go semi-sheer to allow the shape of the classic grill to show through plus allow the light into the room, but block out the ugly building opposite.

If you open the door often, you'd not likely open from the middle, but slide to the fixed side, so for me, I'd go one wide single semi-sheer that slides to the fixed side to allow access to the door.

If you need privacy at night, put a double layer of curtain so you can have sheer through the day to allow light in, and close the layer behind at night.

Bedroom... I will remove the verticals, but to do that it looks like I need a really short screwdriver to do it!
