Current selling agent fees in Perth

    Hi, just wanted to ask what selling agent fee % rates people have been seeing recently in the Perth market.

    We are looking to sell our property (<500k) and have narrowed it down to 1-2 agents based on their experience and marketing approach. Have received initial quotes of 2.5% inc GST - Just wanting to get a better idea of what the possible negotiation ranges are.

    Many agents in Perth now are negotiating fixed rates which are significantly lower then what you have quoted. Maybe worth shopping around.

    I know this post is old but this is what I've been quoted on a house well sub $500k in Perth this week.

    Agent 1. 2.5%
    Agent 2. $10,000 plus 1k marketing
    Agent 3. "$8800-11000"

    Get an independent agent. Walk in the door and ask. "Will you sell my property for 7k plus gst"
    Bet 90% take it . Don't tell them where the property is until you have closed them. Never sell by commission.

    Around 2-2,5% is the standard for the median house. Im guessing it gets much lower % the higher the property. eg $2M property might be 1.25-1.5%?
