    Just saw contributions from young Stephanie on Domain. It appears she has sold her previous business and moved on to greener pastures.

    Interesting thoughts on what not to invest in.

    Surely we won't see an alignment with property developers in the new venture :)

    So if she is effectively offering prepaid rental income she had better be careful. Rent is taxable on receipt generally (IT 98/1).

    Sounds nice in theory to get a deposit but whammo! you lose half in tax because it all came in upfront before you settled.
