I was recently offered a business overdraft for my company bank account. I did not take it up as I thought it could impact a credit application in train (in my personal name).

When the company borrows, personal guarantees are mandatory. I am a director of the company.

    1) Will accepting such a facility (as guarantor) go on my personal credit file?

    2) Also, is there a credit file (or equivalent) for my company, similar to what you have for individuals? If so, how do I access it?

    a) yes probably
    b) yep. I think the company can apply to the reporting agency for a copy but there will be fees applicable as legislation forces the reporting agencies to provide free copies to individuals.
