I suppose that at this kind of infection rates it’s not going to make much difference anyway.

Will you be doing the 7 day sandbox in phuket? I hope to go this year but will probably visit Bali or Philippines instead. I heard soi 6 is getting busier so I'm looking forward to going back and see some LBs

Oz govt approved RATs and sensitivity levels here:
COVID-19 rapid antigen self-tests that are approved in Australia

I'd rather not have to go to Phuket if I can avoid it. Want to stay in Bangkok and then head to Japan when they drop their isolation requirements.

Managed to strike gold today when I scooped up some testing kits for our upcoming trip to QLD next week (by road).

So anyone want to tell me how I 'prove' we tested negative?? Do you take photos of the negative tests?? We haven't applied for the Entry pass either - I presume that's done within 72 hrs of coming in?

We did it literally 10 mins before crossing the border. It’s an automated system, you get the pass in email right away. Nobody looked at the passes, they just waved us through but some people were pulled on the side for further investigation.

Regarding rapid tests, no evidence is required. They will take your word.

And now there's a tropical cyclone warning for Fiji. Time to batten down the hatches.

At least she's not going to miss out on any resort activities.

She's not a resort person, but is making the most of whatever sun and beach she's allowed to access - away from other people apart from her travel mate who also has the Rona.

    No, you didn’t.

Make sure your paperwork is squeaky clean.

We crossed into Qld by road at Goondiwindi yesterday. Had to show passes and vaccination certificates. Asked if we had taken photos of our RAT negative tests - we hadn’t as I did not know this was necessary. Luckily I had kept the receipt when we. Bought the tests which the police accepted.

So make sure you take a photo of the test results.

Maybe we were just unlucky (or looked dodgy!!)

With the number of cases in the US - it would be easier to simply run cruises exclusively for passengers (and staff) who have had COVID.

3 days out from our trip to QLD from NSW. We just did our RAT and all came back negative. On one hand, I'm happy but on the other, it also mean we're yet to be exposed, potentially away from home.

Most of our family had a cough/cold 2-3 weeks ago but that could've been a run of the mill virus.

Now considering driving from Sydney to GC just for the weekend/few days (still with distancing from groups of people and all that). At least now we don’t need to jump through all the hoops if we want to go on a short holiday to QLD. Exciting!

I managed a negative PCR test about 10 days or so after ending my 7 day quarantine after having the so called corona virus
