This is research for preparation only. Not a current issue.

I have noticed the media reporting that comm premises and schools where a worker has been identified as having contracted Covid -19, all those with contact have been sent home for testing/isolation/quarantine as appropriate and then the premises have been “deep cleaned” prior to re-opening a couple of days later. I see images of people in hazmat suits scrubbing and spraying etc.

What is it? - Is there a definition of deep cleaning anywhere? I found some info online re hospital grade deep cleaning – dunno if this is relevant?

Who does it? – Can an organisation DIY? (staff protection and liability issues). Are there businesses that provide such a service? (not well advertised online). Do the authorities take over and organise/perform it?

When? – How long does it take? How long before its safe for (cleared or non-contact) workers to return?
