Astral travelling is all we have left although I continue to practice levitation - haven't mastered it yet.

This whole thing is getting extremely extremely out of hand, I never thought in my wildest dreams that someone living in Australia would be forced to not leave their homes, forced to wear a mask, forced not go to work to provide for their loved ones, be told when they can exercise, be told what time they have to be locked inside by etc... I do not for one second expect anyone to share this sentiment based on what I read here.
Economy aside, this is about basic rights, freedoms etc. I never for a moment ever thought I would be living in a dictatorship (green shoots), I could Never even imagine a day where those who we elect to represent us control us and furthermore I never thought that having an opinion contrary to the mainstream and media narrative would have one ridiculed and labeled as crazy, uneducated and disdained.
The amount of deaths as a result of lockdowns and the handling of this virus will dwarf the deaths by the virus and will linger for a lifetime.

The majority of us in Australia have lived through one of the most blessed periods of human existence. We have not experienced the horrors that the past has endured and that even people in other countries have experienced. Can't you recognise that the quite minimal restrictions being placed on us to attempt to control this virus is in the best interests of the population. This is not a dictatorship. This is not the removal of your liberty. You are not having the locks on your doors welded shut to keep you isolated (as in China). You are not being marched off to re-education camp for not wearing a mask. All that is asked is to follow a few simple rules to protect the entire Australian population.

^^^^ is the attitude that ensures the problem is exacerbated and why its taking longer to return to some semblance of normality the poster craves!!! We are all wanting the same goal.

No I’m sorry I can’t recognize that this is minimal at all. Seems quite major to me.

My point exactly, go against the narrative and it’s my attitude that’s the problem.
Tell me, why can we only exercise at certain times? Why is there a curfew proposed? Does the virus only transmit during business hours?
More people have died of suicides than Covid. 9 Million people die of hunger each year etc.
But again as my original post stated, have an opposing view and I’m the problem.

TBH I haven't really notices any change in lifestyle for us (yet) - other than being a bit more selective in what time we go shopping. I guess it comes of living like a hermit to start with....

That’s cruel - protect yourself but potentially infect others. Since you clearly know the issues, I’m surprised ...

This is real woke - not really affected but complaining bitterly about a minor adjustment to life . Its a bit more serious than a pick'n mix from the local lolly shop.

I don't want to catch it from others - even N95 surgical will NOT stop you getting the virus - there's too much flow around the edge.

Ultimately, if I don't catch it, I won't spread it. I am aware of the issues. Unfortunately, I am not sure that people who buy products like this realise this implication (these are the sort of masks I wear):

Surely you know that if you express a view anywhere not left of center these days you need to be cancelled ASAP. Somewhere along the way suggesting anything that prioritised reopening over lock down became a bit of a conservatives Vs socialist debate (probably Trumps fault).

It does make sense because the uncomfortable implication is we value the functioning of the economy more than human lives. But the reality is that there is a human cost to the lockdowns as well, and there must also be a point where the economic damage is worse than lives lost.
