Possibly a misdemeanor, community correction order if they go hard.

I think it's more a matter that the people of SA are so furious about this that the police have to at least try to do something.

The entire basis of the lockdown was fear that the virus had spread through pizza deliveries and so any customer who visited there might be infected - which could mean hundreds of unaccounted for infections and a rapidly growing outbreak.

Instead it turned out to be someone who actually worked there in close contact with another known infection so the infection source was known and easily traced - rather than a random customer. The unknown factor was removed and the chance of mass-infection from that source was greatly diminished.

I still think they made the right choice to lock down - but I'm also glad they acted quickly to reverse the decision once they learned the truth.

Meanwhile, there's been a new case in the ACT.

A diplomat returning to Australia chose to quarantine at home in Canberra after arriving in Sydney, as is apparently his right. He's tested positive, his wife and driver are in isolation.

A little bit miffed today - overheard in the local Colesworths.

"Mum, why is that person wearing a mask?"

Mother replies "They're just being stupid".

WTF? Great example to set for her kid.

BTW very few wearing masks - sounds like short memories & complacency has set in

    Versaflo™ TR300+ PAPR System
to go back to face to face teaching :D

Imagine what the mum would say if she saw me with that in the shops!

Yet we haven't seen community transmission at the shops, hardware store, park, beach, or kids weekend sport.

Asides from empty supermarket early on - we've been pretty stock standard in Wine Country - but think I'll be wearing my mask on my Sydney Ikea visit next week

We are full masks until tomorrow.... then we go to masks "indoors" - DA seemed to focus on Bunnings (must be all the troublemakers :D)

"If you go to Bunnings and you are inside the store, you are wearing a mask. If you are in the car park, you do not have to wear your mask," Premier Daniel Andrews said.

"But if you are queueing up for a sausage, and you are with other people, and you are simply not keeping a distance — you are part of a crowd, you need to put the mask on."

I am not sure if people are trying to enjoy the last mask-on day or something but I drove past The Glen - CAR PARK FULL and there was a queue of cars still trying to get in!!!:eek::eek::eek:

For those unfamiliar, the centre has over 2,600 car parks.... o_O
What the hell is going on? (Don't get me wrong I am VERY HAPPY as I have money in that place but still.....)

... and first flights from Sydney to Melbourne landed this morning. Amazing how brilliantly Victoria have done, and example to the rest of the world of what can be achieved, with the right mentality and attitude

At the height Victoria had >700 cases/day, some of the countries/states/counties have this size infection spreading and could easily do the same if there was the political will.
