Also everyone was (should have been) wearing masks so hopefully no transmission.

Except many cloth masks don't meet guideline. Then special people don't need to wear a mask or have nose over the top. People don't respect space. Really WA has been lucky

We were on a fully booked flight a few nights ago, everyone masked from entering the airport. One of the male flight attendants (seemed to be the head honcho?) had his mask sitting under his nose. Stupid!

Shame but great news! You must have an employer who offers paid Covid leave? Is that the only test you do unless you get sick?

No idea about Covid pay. I would guess I get an extra week off then have to work a 2 week stint instead of one.

Not sure because I am a mine worker might need another one. If I remain symptom free no more tests if non mine worker. I was only a "casual" contact

My son was lucky to get it with his employer as he'd arrived and left Melbourne when it wasn't considered a hot spot, but then they'd found cases later that day after he left so he had to quarantine. If he'd left any later he wouldn't have got the paid leave. Good Karma as his flight got changed to early morning!

    Who’s had the COVID-19 vaccination?

They started rolling out AstraZeneca to over-50s in Victoria earlier this week.

I had my first jab a bit over a week ago (category 1b).

Astrazeneca, no side effects apart from a slightly sore arm.

My medical clinic had a 3000 waiting list, and gets 75 doses issued a week ... could take a while

We registered weeks and weeks ago as we are 1b.

I phoned last week and we are 350 from the top. Our clinic is issued 50 AZ doses per week. So another 7 weeks.

IMHO there must be a real stuff-up in their distribution system.

In the interim, we both had our flu shot.
