    Hi Guys,

A new thread for discussion of the Government Stimulus packages and their effect on businesses.

Our situation, Hospitality - Have to run numbers but don't know why I would keep employees on when there is literally no work for them to do. May keep them on and donate their time to charities or something? Depends on the numbers :/

Looks like a good move at the moment for small and sole traders - Allowing access to jobstart etc payments without an asset test and no waiting period.

Looks like they are intending to provide an immediate tapering up buffer as peoples incomes reduce.

Example given was a sole trader tradie who's income is dropping off, when it reaches a point they will be able to immediately start accessing newstart payments.
