I was laughing my way to the bank when I found out the machine wouldn't accept one of the fifties I was trying to deposit.

Upon closer inspection, it appears the note could be fake as the state of the art atm rejected it after multiple times of trying to "add more"...

I suspect it could be one of my tenants that gave me this note as I have no other sources of income where I get paid in cash.

    What should I do?

Is this the same ISIS-looking tenant you suspect of being a terrorist?
Maybe now you know why he wasn't so keen on you touching his suitcase....

Start by getting your tenants to pay via direct debit.

Head to KMART and buy 3x $14 heaters and 2x $4 bath mats and pay cash.

    Win/Win.

Walk in the local Police station and have a talk,if you try to cash them in through the counter banking system you will end up at the police station anyway..

That's the thing... I don't know which one of my tenants gave it to me. I don't put notes in between my notes if you know what I mean? you know? so there is no way of knowing who gave me the note. I might starting doing it so I can track it. who's who.

No but the tenant is now in arrears by $50 at least.
You can prove it if you get a police report

No you will end up making at statement as to where the fake 50's at the police station came from, then THEY give you a cup of tea to get your fingerprints thinking you could be the bagman go-between..

but Kmart has cctv cams. if I use the counterfit note I'll be on cctv then the SWAT will probably bust down my door, throw a flash bang bang in my face and arrest my ass for trying to use the fake money.

it wasn't fifties. just one fifty, out of alot of fifties.

The only lead I have is the terrorist looking tenant. He is the only one in my years of being a landlord that gave his rent using an "envelope". Probably doesn't want his prints on it.

But this just a racial profile wild guessing/accusation.

Now I'm intrigued. What exactly does an "ISIS-looking tenant" look like?!

Wow, you should write detective fiction. Or just become an actual detective.

Any further info on the terrorist suspect? Btw your writing style is very similar to one of our PChatters. :)

Not sure if you are trying to complement or insult me. Just trying to do the right thing and get to the bottom of this. Pretty sure counterfeit money circulating aint good for any of us. (it devalues our currency = high inflation = RBA will up the OCR = banks increase interest rate.)
