I am currently looking at a devlopment site (corner block). Retain current house and build a townhouse which will face the laneway. I spoke to someone at the council and was advised that I will need to build a road on the laneway which is up to council standard. To anyone who may have experienced this previously, how much do I need to allocate for this? I know this is a very vague question and depends on a lot of variables, but just wanted a ballpark figure. The laneway is wide enough for 2 cars. The length of the block is 120'.
I work in the civil / roadworks industry quoting this sort of work. PM me a scope or your email and send through the details and I can give you a rough estimate if you like.
