Just to be short , tenants require new toilet seat and curtain rod .
I would rather arrange this myself than through the agent as I can get handyman cheaper.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I will go to Bunnings and buy a colour toilet seat and shower rail myself, I cannot carry it all back on the bus so my question is ,
Can I claim back the Uber fare as Tax deduction to get back home from Bunnings?

I plan to see a Accountant guy up at Pennant Hills in the next few months so want to get everything in order and don't want to put things down that maybe I can't.

Why don't you do a BB and hire a copter?

I believe you can charge the cost of travel but not your time.

Using a copter will minimise your time and maximise your tax deduction.

With a bit of luck, it might turn this IP to be negatively geared or more so if it is already :) :).

No I like to walk around Bunnings and browse at things, and I think delivery would be more than the $15 Uber ride.:)

Not if its ordinary travel you ordinarily undertake eg on way to / from work. If it was a cost for delivery then Yes. If you go to Bunnings specifically = Yes. You need to consider the difference between a cost and value that incorporates your time. I also question if you buy the right shape seat etc. It can be easier and cheaper to just leave it to the handyman.

Sounds like the purpose of your trip if for pleasure. Who doesn't like walking around bunnings!

Nah, just pay for 4 x once-off, special permits and get the copter to land at @Liarliar's home (twice) and at Bunnings (twice).

Just think of all the tax deductions :) :).
