That's a fantastic result. I'm not a trader but this market makes me want to be one.

Not sure you have what it takes to be one.
You need to be arrogant, insult everyone buying as complete beginners, that includes people buying index funds. Consistently remind others that they are amateurs, and always quote warren buffet like he’s your mate.

Haha what he’s doing is pretty good, if you get it right, but pretty hard to get it right consistently because it’s just picking a 2-3 day direction. If you’ve got in now there’s no buffer (no cap gains) so way riskier. Hindsight’s bliss’s like you could’ve been trading APT multiple times. $40 to $8 to $15 back to $8 to $20 back to $18 now $22 in 3-4 weeks. Q is would you buy now.

Tbh I'm just waiting for some kind of bottoming before going in and holding long term. Many people think we have a lot more to go in terms of drops. Makes sense to me but then what if we don't?

The volatility does seem to allow for some good trades but I still feel it's relatively high risk. And you need the Luck Gods on your side too. Unless you're willing to hold long-term if your position rapidly moves against you. Also no leverage on my part. I don't think I'd be able to sleep at night using leverage in this game.

    Sorry.

I actually had to check the calendar because I wasn't sure what day if the week it was.

So you'll be sitting on QAN over a long and nervous weekend?

This thread has been spoilt by traders. It's no more "Invest" chat.
@Simon Hampel can we create a dedicated category for short term trade discussion?

I believe it will be good to have separate discussions for short term trades and long term investments

Perhaps you could start your own thread on "Coronavirus long term opportunities in the stock market"?

The title of this specific thread is "
Corona virus opportunities into the stockmarket".

There are all kinds of timeframes, plans, goals etc.

If you don't like the content of the thread, go and start your own one.

Apparently the word "good" used to mean "holy" once upon a time.

Given you started the thread and have been discussing your short term trading activity, I've changed the title to make this thread explicitly about short term opportunities.
