Can you please change your prediction to up? I need to claw back some losses on my BEAR and I’m scared the market is going to keep moving up.

I was actually considering buying a small amount of CBA tomorrow in the hope my crap timing turns the market into a downward trend and I can cash in on all the BEAR I have bought in the last 2 weeks! o_O

Will be interesting to see if that red candle can finally get taken out... or will ncm dive lower.

These are off market opportunities (as in not for retail investors) and generally available only to private bank clients - its choc full of a lot of companies currently raising cap at very significant discounts and a lot of them are c$200k-$500k a piece, especially with Macquarie and Westpac Private banks

Or to put it another way, diluting the **** out of small retail holders so insiders can make a killing.

Nothing to see here, just the way the system works, carry on folks.

Plenty of retail investors are "708's" these days. I'd say that much better CR opportunities lie with small and mid cap plays...if you've got the right broker, cash to burn and an appetite for risk.

I get from both - private bank or insto desk. Also have access to a bunch of brokers. They don’t always show me the deal straight away bc I’m small fish, but I see them in afr and call them up and ask for term sheet

These are rights issues. You need to have existing shares. And they’re delayed settlement. What you want is the insto placement component which settles in 3-5 days.

It will go up, down, up, down, up and down. In no particular order.

Surely with APRA changes for dividends we will see banks retract a fair bit.
Any ideas when we will see this? Will they do this soon? Or wait until they normally release their dividend guidance?

If you get them all exactly right, I'll quit whatever I'm doing and come work for you.

Well you did ask for a prediction!

Our business is in allied health, so we'd probably have to put you on as an admin assistant to start. ;)

    QAN up @ open
    AMA up @ open
    NCM down @ open.

Banks today are opening up, but reckon surely have to slide with S&P credit downgrade, but who knows people love our banks.
