Yes MQG up c2.5% today. Also added BHP @$31.15 this morning (sitting at $30.70 currently) but RIO and OSH orders didn't proceed- must have moved high early.

You are finding the ideal timings/ shares to get in and out and making money on the way...!

I am in red with my whole portfolio (just) - haven't sold anything- dont think I can handle the see-sawing anyway... so will now cease any further additions for a week or 2..

I wish. Not exactly ideal. Bought at 87.56 so only 3.4% return. Ideal would be selling at 91 today. When it dropped $2 from peak, I was out. Also the ASX was trending down. Managed to buy back in low end of day almost. But who knows if it's ideal? Come Monday could be down 7%.

So far I've managed to make money because of risk management and a good team. And definitely luck too. Last week had small loss on ncm. Had a SL in place in case it went the other way and it did trigger me out.

What I am looking for ( will be some time to come) is a narrowing trading range for a sustained amount of time, with increasing volume in the range. I'll have a buy orders above a break out area with no SL to take me out of a fake out. That's when I'll be in it for the long haul as a longer term buy and hold. Break outs from sustained trading ranges with increasing volume usually have explosive results to the upside with minimal risk to reward ratio.

Most of it is in real estate. I also have a large amount in cash now (not something I usually do but wanted to be very liquid for any upcoming RE opportunities). And then a smaller amount of cash ready for the stock market.

The next 24 months will be massive for me in terms of taking me to the next level of wealth, or doing just OK. Or a small loss. I can live with all 3 scenarios. The way I've structured my portfolios, if I went bankrupt, that means most folks in Aussie would have too. What is my biggest safety net is simply a very low LVR overall.

That would be something... @mrdobalina any guess on where the ASX might retrace to?
