Converting double storey house to dual living is it possible?

    Hi, recently I bought a double storey house 3 bed, 2 bath and 2 car house in Goodna QLD. This house 3 bed 1 bath 1 kitchen up stairs and downstairs additional 3 beds, 1 bath and enough space for living and kitchen. And all rooms downstair have legal hight. Is it possible to covert it into dual living to rent out separately to 2 tenants. Does council approves for dual living. Whats the process? If anybody has information or experience, your advice be appreciated.
