    Morning,

I have just received my Landlord Insurance renewal for an IP which has come in at $1289 for the year. I thought this was a bit high so I have been checking a few online quotes and noticed that a lot of Landlord insurances are now saying you need contents insurance for carpets/fittings etc. I was always under the impression that contents wasn't required for I/P's.

Should I get contents for a small amount to just cover floors and curtains as the house is rented unfurnished.

Also does this price seem a bit high for a 4 bed ensuite home in Canberra?

Most LL insurances will include contents insurance to the extent needed by investors - fittings, fixtures etc.

That price might be ok if it's LL and building combined?

Chuck the details into EBM website and it gives you a free quote you could compare against
