Is there any type of conflict of interest if a QLD Property Manager employs their husband (who is a licensed tradesman) to carry out repairs at my property?

So in view of the above, I'm essentially asking whether of not the Property Manager has contravened any legislation and/or rules whatsoever?

Do they charge a competitive rate and is their work quality good?

If so, I would have no problem. Especially if the business is upfront about it.

It's the same as referring a friend's company or people that have good jobs in the past.
Just review the quote and if it's reasonable doesn't make much difference

I'm asking the question in legal context only.

So thanks for the replies, however, I am not interested whether or not the workmanship was good and/or the quote was competitive.

Is the property management company a government entity? Otherwise, no need to declare. If concerned, nominate your contractors or change agents

agents have fiduciary duties - which are common law, not necessarily legislated.
But contracting with a related party in itself wouldn't be a breach, it would only be if there is a financial advantage.
