    Hello all, how many members do we have here who commute from the north west area in Sydney to the CBD everyday? We like the area and looking to move there in the near term. I know northwest is a big area but we are open to locations as schools is not a priority for us at this stage. We are looking all the way from Quakers Hill to Baulkham hill / Castle Hill to Parklea. We ultimately want to upgrade our PPOR but may rent in the meantime and get a real feel of the area before investing there. Commute to the CBD is the biggest deciding factor for us and we want something closer to the transport be it a train or bus + train.

    If you live around the area how do you like/dislike your commute and where do you commute from?

    Cheers,

    The cycleway is currently diverted from Pennant Hills Road adding about 20 minutes extra to the ride but otherwise it is a great commute into/out of the city.

    @hash_investor - M7/M2/Epping Road/Freeway/Few back streets in North Sydney/Harbour Bridge.
    It's only the bit between Cammeray and North Sydney which are on road

    The normal time for the "express" 607X bus from Rouse Hill via the Old Windsor Road busway and M2 is about 50 minutes.

    Once the metro from Rouse Hill to Chatswood opens you will have services every 4 minutes. You will need to change trains at Chatswood until the new harbour crossing and the Metro is extended via Barangaroo and Martin Place. The Metro from Rouse Hill to Chatswood will open in 2019. The section from Chatswood to the city will open in 2024.

    I currently live in Rouse Hill and drive the M2 to Macquarie Park. Will use the metro once it opens.
