Incidentally who should I use for domain name registration?

    domainregistrationservices.com.au charges $127 for a 2 year .com.au registration
but netregistry.com.au is under $24 for the same period... ??? What's the difference besides price?

    Online Linen

That way you can have tablecloths including throwaway ones for picnics, sheets, pillow cases, Doona covers, tea towels, towels etc... Don't choose a name that will limit your market

For website registration - I use crazy domains ... they are cheap and means you can register a few until you decide which one really takes your fancy.

I'm with Chrispy, in that choose something that won't limit you if you want to expand. Perfect example - we called out garlic business Pokolbin Purple ... we live at Pokolbin and the garlic is purple in colour ... but means we can sell anything. Friend called hers' XXX Garlic and, when she expanded her line to include fresh/pickled veges and honey, she either had to create a new name for each line, or change the overall name (which she did)

Dont get tied to that one.

Remember your business name and your trading name dont have to be the same. So you could have a business name as ABC Pty Ltd trading as 'When sheet hits the fan'.

Also - your business name could be something a bit serious "Good Sheets" with a slogan "We got the best sheet in town"

I think that's actually changing, trading names won't be listed on the Business Register or ABN lookup any more from 2018.

Anyway, just thought of another one - Bedhead Linen? I prefer Bedhead on it's own but that's taken too.

    Bed Said Fred?

Why dont you call it Linenplanet.com?

    Nobody owns the domain.

And when you make your first million you can send me a case of Veuve.

But the good stuff, not the blend.

Seemed unlikely. Has been registered since 1995: http://whois.domaintools.com/linen.com

[edit] Never mind you updated domain name :)

I work in a startup and a couple months ago we changed our name after running into repeated difficulties in conveying the first name. I penned my thoughts down and maybe it would help you too.

What goes into naming your company?
