    Hi all,

What color scheme will suit attached house design in coastal area of Melbourne. This includes color of colorbond steel roof, gable, rendering (pillars and under windows), cladding and bricks. I may go with timber color garage door but for the rest I need your suggestions.

    Thanks heaps

If you like Hamptons type of colour schemes... Hamptons Style Paint Colours from the Experts at Dulux | Hamptons house exterior, House paint exterior, Exterior house colors

Here is some of what we used....

    Dulux Casper White. https://www.dulux.com.au/search/top?query=casper white
In bright light it looks quite white. Almost as white as youyr ceilings or skirting boards. In any kind of shade it has a distinct soft grey tone. The less light, the darker it gets. We used this for internal walls on our recent renovation. There are several other colours that offer quite similar results. See some pics below demonstrating how the colour changes depending on the amount of light

Colorbond Momentum We used this colour for kitchen and bathroom joinery . We also considered Dulux Domino. see below. Monument® | COLORBOND® steel

We found the Dulux colour consultancy very helpful too....

Interesting that it has some face brick. Do you know which ranges you can select from? Bricks in melbourne are much different colours to what we get in Perth.

Do you like either of these sorts of colours?

    Option 1

Option 2: very similar but slightly different

I tend to go with quite classic country/coastal/hamptons colours

But it does depend on if you want some darker accents or not.

Your elevation has some a contrast render that is depicted somewhat dark but do you want it dark? It's hard to get warranty on dark render so it's generally not encouraged.

    My suggestion would be
    1. Shale Grey render as your main lower render and probably the other render too because with the render + bricks + boards it will get quite busy
    2. Shale Grey or Basalt Colorbond roof (gutters/fascia to match). Downpipes to match wall colours
    3. All boards (on the main house, just below roof and the gable) to be Dulux Natural White
    4. Feature colour front door - as these are the easiest thing to paint when you get tired of it - You could paint it dark like Dulux Monument (but will void warrenty), grey (Shale grey) or pink or any colour that takes you fancy - orange, yellow etc
    5. white or charcoal window frames
    6. garage door to match the roof or just go with good old surfmist (aka white)
    7. Bricks - not sure where you can chose from

Thanks @Westminster . Based on suggestions above, I think I should go for
1-Shale grey for colorbond roof, renders (both main and under windows,gutters/fascia and downpipes.
2-Dulux natural white or surfmist for gable, under roof, horizontal cladding and windows frame.
3-Timber look color garage door and main entry door
4-For bricks on garage wall and garage top, I am not sure if I should go for some dark color bricks or just render this part as well as shown in some of above pictures. Here I need your input please

Is rending in option-1 picture shale grey? That makes a good combo with white for Hampton style.

Personally I'd use render around the garage and keep that shale grey too.

Yes they are both shale grey - one is painted sand render and the other is acrylic render so turned out slightly differently.
