    Hi,
Just wondering how long does it take for the relevant parties to get the clean title into our name? Havent done this for a long time ......

Been communicating with CBA for a while and in late March this year, they said "confirm request to discharge our mortgage on your security property has now been completed."

(Agent's Title Search in late Feb-20 still showing the mortgaged.)

Wrote to CBA again and on 1-May-20 they wrote about our loans : "By agreement, the registered mortgage over the property situated at xx has been released". They didnt produce any other form although we did as for Memo of Discharge of something.

I guess the safest is to do another Title Search now but firstly, we dont want to waste our effort/money if it's not completed, but most importantly, we want to know what else to do/write if the Title is still showing as encumbered. It's pretty painful/slow talking to CBA so we wish to know the right words /jargon to use.

    Thanks heaps!

Request the return of the title. If they have discharged it, then the LTO will produce a new copy of the title.
