Is this glass with white backing instead of green tinge or is there actually no glass at all?

You must have great eyesight, i can only see a slight line in the mirror which i assume is the glass edge. This is the glass i see used for most balustrades

If there is a glass balustrade in that first photo I’ll eat my hat.

@wylie - how do you like your hat?

If you look carefully, you'll see the diagonal line of the balustrade sad a shadow. There's also a reflection in the glass but it may be the stringer.

    Anti-reflective glass.

Disclosure - we import this from Germany (SCHOTT Amiran). A lot of it goes into hotels and showrooms.

I reckon the diagonal line reflected on the rectangular glass is from the side board on the stairs, likewise the shadow on the wall.

Can’t see any glass balustrade, nor any fixings where it could be attached to the stairs. Maybe it floats on air?

Maybe the photographer did some editing to make the glass more clear? @Kinnon ever get anyone asking you to do that?

However you can buy ultra clear toughened glass and maybe that’s it?

Yep. It's purely reflection and lighting.

FWIW I think there is glass in the first photo

Then again those stairs in the first photo are not the same stairs as in the second photo and if so, i'm tipping this wine down the sink

I can see a diagonal reflection which seems to be the white stairs themselves. Still can’t see any glass.

Still prepared to eat my hat if I’m wrong.

Ok so that isn’t a mirror on the wall but a window into the next room. You are seeing things in the other room.

However a window can still show reflection of what should be a glass balustrade. I can see the diagonal reflection but I can’t see any glass on the stairs.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to have no balustrading over 1m (cant remember the NCC standards) . I'm pretty sure it's also illegal to Photoshop any material items from photos which will count as misrepresentation. I'll have to find this house and goto the home open.

    Its in WA
