Hi all, I am currently working through the process of clearing a lot in WA as part of a subdivision project; survey strata to retain the existing dwelling with common drive to the back block. The lot had a heap of old trees and a slight 500mm slope. We are in the Town of Vic Park with very sandy soil. I have just finished clearing all the trees in the back yard and had the earth works quoted up. Total area quoted to be leveled to a natural level and graded down 600mm is 35m x 20m. There were a lot of trees so we now have 5 large stumps (one is at 1m dia) and around 10 smaller stumps. The civil cost has come in at $8k which I was not expecting. Does anyone have experience with site clearing costs with tree stumps in the mix and does this sound reasonable?
Site clearing isn't cheap and stumps don't help. The cost probably would have been the same though even if you didn't partially clear the trees. If you want a second opinion try Allday Construction – Perth Tipping, Earthworks and Demolition Services
Companies like Allday can generally handle both and are cheaper that way. Rather than getting a tree lopper then earthworks.
