Its approx. 16.3m Front, 46m side and 14m back, so not too bad.

Looks like Queensland instead of Paramatta! Those mature trees in the area will give a nice outlook.

@Westminster haha yeah that's true! I was originally worried about some of the placements of the trees in the yard but it's worked out fine.

@larrylarry yeah I think it's an above average lot size for that area.

Hidden asbestos meshed with slab weighed in at 9.4 tonnes costing just under $6300. Arghhhh! Bloody asbestos!

    Crikey.
Is that like the asbestos tiles or did they actually put it in the slab for some reason back then?

    @Azazel
I think it was some kind of asbestos tile-like material and a lot of it was messed to the slab...not sure why they did it and it's not completely uncommon with older houses in that area. We were hoping there wouldn't be too much asbestos that couldn't be accounted in the demolition quote but I guess that's what the contingency is for. o_O

They did it because too costly to dispose it safely.

Hi Larry yes I'm sure that's also part of the reason . So now the next generation has to deal with it. Argh!

Quick update: Holes have been drilled out for concrete piers to go in, then slab on top. It's a race to get the slab down before Xmas so it has a couple of weeks to cure.

    Cheers.

Is that for a waffle slab? Seeing holes drilled is so foreign to me :)

@Westminster Hey Myf, Yup, its an 'M' Class Waffle pod slab with concrete. Its a bit less expensive but most people seem to think its just as strong. I have heard advantages and disadvantages but from the people I spoke to who actually built with them, they haven't had any issues. :)

Just had a brief read over the thread, when is the completion date?
inspiring stuff leo, hows your end estimated value numbers looking atm. I'm sure you were very conservative with your estimates anyway.
Are you planing to hold onto most of them?
Sorry if any of these questions have already been answered.

Looking forward to the end results, congratulation : )

    Hi @tomlemke

Cheers mate. It's been a tough haul with council for this one but all good now :)
Currently end value is looking at 1.25m- 1.3+m each. Yes mate looking at keeping both.

    Cheers
