    Maybe 6 I guess. I don't really like generalising.

Well I vote 0 for davoren park and my tenants are fine, area will improve one day.

So anything above a 4, and no couches out the front is good for me.

I've seen couches out the front in Christie Downs and Morphett Vale. In Morphett Vale I've also seen someone running a John Lennon Museum out of their semi-detached half with hand written signs out the front. Doesn't mean everyone in the area is like that.

I doubt anyone dislikes John Lennon. But I don't really need to see home made posters of him :p

Christies Beach so far has been ok to me.The problem with the Christie Downs property was the management.Almost non existant, and led me to believe everything was fine, yes the rent was up to date, but the actuall tenant management for everything else didnt happen,i dont have a problem stating the former managers were Judy Harrow Property Management, if you have any properties with them....well, i Would run a mile!!!

I suggest you go and look at each suburb in person. North - nailsworth, prospect and even some of blair athol is good housing stock but then it starts to decline as you go out further north.

Adelaide CBD is nowhere near the size of melb and sydney. The % of people needing to work in adelaide city would be less than that of interstate so please take that into consideration when trying to buy as close to the CBD as possible.

There are lots of small and medium size business down south. You don't need to wear a tie and work in the city to make a living in Adelaide. There are plenty of CUBS and tradies - you see them driving their new Hilux or Navara with the tools in the back during the week and their trailer with jet ski or dirt bike on the weekends. There is lots of building and construction as houses are being built further and further south.

There is industrial at Wingfield and Dry Creek but going slightly further to Port Adelaide would be an eye opener - its like a ghost town there. Every third or fourth commercial building or warehouse has a FOR LEASE sign on it.

I've invested interstate, yes lots of places look great on a google map, but then when you get there and look in person you can see why they are not quite the bargain you had hoped for...

Plane from melb to adelaide 50 mins, pooraka and christies would be about 30 mins from airport to each suburb by car.

I also suggest you look from osullivan beach right through to Moana

Just want to give my thanks to @D.T. and @Corey Batt for their help in my purchase on MV. Really good to meet with you guys as well on Adelaide last weekend. I would recommend them to anyone that's looking for properties in Adelaide. Got good knowledge and very helpful.

There is an article on PI magazine this month that covers alittle on the areas discussed. Good pointers @Xenia

Loving local Adelaidean's perception of the north and south...it seemed neutral with no strong preference over the other.

If this was a Brisbane north/south discussion, we'll be throw dog poo at each other on the 2nd page.
