I've been speaking to agents this week and also to another property owner who also has been speaking to agents about selling, and a common theme from the agents was that you need to get on the market ASAP as Chinese New Year starting 25th January will bring a in wave of potential cashed up buyers in a hurry to buy something.

I'm sure that this is no longer the case: buyers from China can't simply come here for a brief holiday and buy up existing property. Only new properties, off the plan apartments and vacant land can be purchased - and FIRB approval is needed.

I think the agents are just trying anything to get listings. Anyone else experience this?
