    Hi All

    I'm in the process of setting up a childcare business (Long Day Care), any hints and tips would be most welcome if anyone has some experience with this kind of business.

    Get familiar with child care benefit and rebate hehr.. your clients will appreciate it.

    I have good knowledge of both as well as the systems, having been heavily involved in setting up a now profitable (Family Day Care Service). just not sure how different is (Long Day Care) which is the centre based care

    Its all about occupancy, staff cost ratios and expenses and complying with the NQF.
    Look closely at competitors near you as well - there are some very crowded markets around.
