    Hey guys,

New here - plz be kind.

We are a couple in early 30s with no kids and not fussed about the school zone. We have identified these suburbs as suburbs of our liking, we are open to closeby surrounding areas as well and have a budget of 1.1m to 1.2m. Looking for advice in terms of what would be best investment long term? Lots of townhouses in that budget but keen on something with at least 550-600sqm land area. Most of these are close to 1.5m usually in knockdown condition. Is it worth spending that much on near knockdowns?

How easy or difficult is it to renovate these 50-60-year-old houses? Cost involved?

Finally, if not these suburbs what would be your recommendation with a 1.1m budget preferably in southeast Melb?

For 1.1 if you want that amount of land you need to go further north east away from the beach or further out south east. a townhouse would fit in that range if its the lifestyle youre after, but knockdown rebuilds are being sold sight unseen in lockdown quite quickly.

Try Mordiallic - lots of cafes, bars and the beach nearby.

Not sure how you will go with your budget though.
