Cheaper stone benchtop alternatives

    Strangely, I never took photos of the kitchen once it was completed or even once we moved in. (It's an absolute mess now so won't be taking any current day pics :eek:). I've attached a pic from just before it was completed. Should give you an idea of what we did.

    Is that island frosty Carrina?!! We just picked it for ours. I hope it doesn’t look that yellow against white cabinets when installed

    No our kitchen was dreamy marfil. We used Frosty carrina for all the bathrooms.

    @euro73 I had a look at the Neolith and Laminam XL products. They look great but they're pretty expensive here. Comparable to the high end Caesarstone options so probably not suitable for my target market. I'm considering one of the cheaper stone alternatives, e.g. Stone Ambassador, YDL, Polygramm or United Stone Melbourne.

    @melbournian Looks like you've had experience with both Stone Ambassador and YDL and that you'd recommend the former over the latter? Are they comparable price wise? Any experience with the other 2 companies I listed?

    The Laminam slabs are far cheaper than Caesarstone. Is it the stonemason that is charging alot for Laminam?
