Hi all, I need a new mirror for my bathroom Reno and have been quoted approx $380 plus for just a plain mirror which seems really expensive.

Has anyone got a more reasonably priced supplier?

EBay is easy and cheap if there's a local supplier

    Target? Freedom? Oz Design?

    Recycled Garbage?

What are you after? Bevelled or polished edges are more expensive than a framed mirror. gilt mirrors - Google Search

    Try a picture framer.

I second Westminster's comment. We recently got a mirror from Masters for a great price.... sadly I can't remember the details, but it was a really good price. Definitely worth checking out!

I've looked at masters and Bunnings, sadly nothing large enough - serves me right for doing a custom vanity :p

Personally I prefer mirrors that don't go above all the vanity - especially if you have wall tiling behind.

It's not called 'vanity' a without reason.

Fix the mirror then tile around it - saves on tiles. Oops, that should have been one of @albanga's hacks.

My issue is that the basins are on the edges and having two mirrors leaves a big gap in the middle. It's not quite 'right'. I might need to put a plant there or something so it's not weird.
    Something like that!
All the 'off the rack' vanities were too small and the larger ones were so expensive I decided to design my own for just a bit more $$. Happy with the end result but now the mirror isn't quite working...

You need to make a shelf thingy for the middle - chop chop!!

Like this but not as UGLY. I used to have a really good photo but I can't find it.

I'll try and explain it :)

Ok to you have one really large wooden frame built from wood on it's thin side so that it makes a shelf all the way around the frame. Then place a mirror at each end and in the gap in the middle 2 uprights of wood and shelves.

This but imagine it with 2 mirrors and shelves in the middle.
