    6 years in Nsw if based on contract or 12 if based on deed

    so how does it work, I sue a person in court civilly, I get the judgement, they have x days to pay,
    at which point and how does it go on their credit

    my 2nd default was with the uni, so obviously they had all my details, so easy to identify me,
    however my 1st default, I think they only had my name and my address, and I had never met this person before and was only multiple email exchanges, how on earth did they identify me or have enough info to hit my credit file?

    It would go on immediately. if they paid it could be reported and marked as paid

    sorry for the million questions, but how does it hit the credit file? as far as Im aware the only criteria you need to sue someone is a name and address?
    I found it very strange that none of the courts, staff, even legal aid had no idea even what i was talking about

    You will need to contact a credit reporting agency as nothing to do with the courts
