Charging for Water - Unity Water

    Hi Angel
    Put the wording - tenant to pay for all water usage and supply charges (or whatever the charges are called in your state)

    If there is legislation overruling the charges you will not be able to invoice the tenants regardless of whether it's in the lease or not.

    If there is a way to do it, the wording in the lease agreement will allow you to do it.

    That is correct in Qld. You need a compliance certificate for water efficiency from the plumber in Qld.

    Also..I believe the resi act in Qld stipulates you can only charge for water use. Be careful about the wording and stick to the standard resi clause for water....I believe the act will over ride any wording you put in anyway. Not something you want the tenant to challenge you on.
