    Just watched it. Not a bad show. I can do with one of the stylers.
    Wonder whether the Tax Office is watching?

    Just wondering if there are any budding flippers who would know where to start with a property we have, 1/2 an acre but i think the house is too far gone, it looks like it has been built in stages where they have just added on as they felt like it, do people do the renos or do they only buy and flip, some advice would be good, property is in a small town near Dubbo, NSW, 2 streets back from the main street, all council services, paid $65 k is it worth putting the work in or should we just resell and get back what we paid for it

    Hi @glenelly and welcome to the forums! I am currently renovating my 6th property so I have some knowledge of renovations. Without photos it's impossible to tell if it is worth renovating yours. Even then it may need a structural inspection. You would need to find out what it is worth now, how much it would cost to renovate and what it would be worth after renovating.

    These shows are always complete bull. Just watching an episode now where a couple are;
    Completely renovating a bathroom including knocking down two walls and changing plumbing
    Redoing the kitchen and knocking down arches
    Adding a bedroom
    Landscaping front and backyard
    All new curtains, paint, appliances, flooring
    Labor

    How much is their budget? Just $40k of course!!!
    Try $120k bare min. That's how they pretend to make money.
    Oh and taxes

    like others have mentioned, would be good to see the full picture including stamp, agent fees, taxes, holding costs etc. the first episode appears to have alot more views than subsequent ones...

    none the less, for those interested you can watch a couple of the episodes online, for the newbie renovator there are still things you pick up along the way so it's not all doom and gloom :)
