Changing Conveyancer During Cooling Off Period

    Hi all,

    My conveyancer doesn't seem very helpful and just wondering if we can change who the conveyancer is in the cooling off stagefor a NSW property.

    They are charging $2k and so far they haven't kept me up to date with pest and building or even receiving the contract.

    Can we change??

    Yes

    However why is the conveyancer getting your B&P? Every B&P I have heard of the buyer gets directly sent to them.

    Also you can ask the REA to send you a copy of the contract, again I have only ever known the contract going back to the purchaser first and then asking who the conveyancer/solicitor is (which then is sent to them).

    Conveyancer said they can organise the pest and building. We only received/signed the front page of the contract
