    Hi All,

Been a long time since I changed, but I see a lot of posts that end up saying change accountants.

I am curious, with all the electronic and online data etc these days, I imagine changing is easier than years ago ?

    Yes very easy.
Just have to brief your new accountant, get a quote etc. and they request information/files from your accountant

Do you give the old accountant the courtesy of letting them know you are leaving and for whatever reason?

I just changed it it was a minor inconvenience. If I equate the potential tax savings as already discussed with new accountant and convert back to an hourly rate for time and effort to move its in the thousands of $$$s an hour category so well worth it IMO.
