    I think it's all well and good that people should look for the income stream from listed property trusts (which was what they have traditionally been used for) ... but more and more of the trusts in recent years have moved from a conservative income generating vehicle to a growth oriented vehicle - thus changing the risk profile of the investment.

    Many people have been caught out because they weren't aware of the change in focus - and it has become confusing trying to decide which trusts use which strategies.

    Agree,

    More and more LPTs have stapled the management and development etc business onto the existing trusts thus introducing the growth aspect and hence risk.
