    I like it.

I was up Nelson Bay the other week and checked your areas on a map. I don't think its too isolated and a doable commute to Newcastle.

With the prices of Sydney high, the Hunter may become the hunted by FHB and investors.

Me too. The marina food offerings need a bit of a spruce up, but Holberts Oysters at Soldiers Point and Zenith Beach at Shoal Bay were a highlight.

Also, it's well worth a stay and/or bite to eat at Rick Steins new place at Bannisters Salamander Bay...

My you do know the area.

Might have to give those places a try. Has to be better than KFC at Salamander ( which is built into a factory unit lol).

Cessnock is less than an hour from Newcastle so not too far.

Getting back to Salamander, gee the the shopping centre is rough as guts. I thought I was back in the Druitt a few times lol. Felt like home.

Wyong Westfields was a much more congenial atmosphere. Less chance of getting knifed over a spilt coffee there.

    I get your drift.

I ordered a salad in the food court of a large central coast shopping centre a bit south of Possible Knifeville (I dont feel a need to name it, as it's not any fault of the operator) about 18 months ago, and, after a bit, discovered a live spider in it.

Feeling underwhelmed, I asked for a refund from the vendor, and as it was provided he said "At least it was fresh!".

Whilst he was technically correct, and as a fan of dry humour, I sort of wondered if he had slipped in some extra "protein" as a way to increase the number of followers on his social media presence.

Sounds like Lake Haven. Sometimes if I'm hungry enough I brush the offending invertebrate aside and continue with the meal.

    ^ ^ this.
Therefore no pressure on prices to rise. You’d get much better CG where demand is greater closer to the CBD.
