Hi there, currently have a house with cream ceramic tiles throughout except for bedrooms and formal lounge/dining which is carpeted. I dislike carpet in the formal dining - would like dark timber flooring in the formal lounge/dining area. This would mean I would then have all three types of flooring in my home. Anyone have any ideas/feedback to keep some consistency? Thanks in advance.

You could try to match up the timber floor colour with the tiles and keep it to a similar level to make it flow more smoothly. Nothing wrong with carpet in the bedrooms though.
