Sold those at $176.45 and had some leverage on it too. Profit was more than some of my developments :D

Not for everyone but this gents story on backing CBA all the way was interesting

I found this on the old Yahoo Finance Message Board with regards to an investor leveraging into CBA (starting in the early days of CBA)

Assuming 12% Growth and 7% Dividend AND Interest on Margin Loan of 8% and re-investing dividends

He was sitting on a dividend income of around $100k p/annum at an age of 38 when I looked at it back in 2007 (good on him for sticking with his strategy), bearing in mind that in Australia, on November 2, 2007, the ASX 200 index reached a record intraday trading high of 6851.5 points before plunging 54.5 percent in 2008

If or when VAS, VGS or some other ETF ever hit $100 will there be a separate thread on those? It'll probably be about as relevant - or not.

What's the verdict on CBA now? I'm thinking of selling. Still hold CBA from the time I was silly but holding individual companies makes me nervous now.

When one looks at the charts over the past 5-10-20 years then it would be a good start to make media intellectuals responsible with some form of evidence for the statements they constantly print..
CBA for me as it may going from my small experience when the entry price range falls above 10 percent from the previous high and still falling always ends the same way..
The selloff dip translates into at some stage into a rally that breaks the previous high, what happens in between just sells newspapers ..

Still holds shorts. CBA heading to $80. My uneducated crystal ball guess.
