The results would vary to much depending which brand I asked.

Commodores forum I'm assuming would be much higher %. Porsche club lower. I reckon the lotus club would be pretty well balanced at the lower end. Lotus owners understand massive bang for buck and are pure enthusiasts. I would love an exige s.
The other forums to ask to get a good understanding would be other investment sites.

    What like this one?

    2015 Lotus Exige S Manual

It's mislabeled, should be 2005 not 2015 but a bathurst racer that's road legal :)

I think the Exige is pretty horrible unless you're only using it as a track toy, in which case it's bloody fantastic :)

The Evora is a great GT sports car that is held back by the Lotus trackday car image. And by GT I mean it's smoother and quieter than my BMW.

I taught my self not care about cars in my late teens/early twenty.

It was an important part of saving and investing.

All our cars are worth 0.1% of net value. Have never valued cars as anymore than a way to get from point A to B. We buy new cars and then keep to for a very longtime lol

I'd only use an exige as a track day or drive day through the twisties.
Looking at a Megane RS, still not the most the comfortable car but a good cheaper fun car. They depreciate so quickly which is good for me. 20k drop in one year.

If you hold them long enough they may end up making you money.

My son is betting on this and insisting on keeping our old Nissan 4wd circa 1995 lol. It's also his practice repair car, recently changed the timing belt and repaired the distributor for the hell of it. It's costing me nearly $2k per annum in rego and ins.

We're spot on at 1% for both our cars ... both are stock standard brands so easy to service and fix, mine 9 yrs old, hubby's 8 yrs old ... one diesel 4wd, the other a hatchback that is used like a ute.

Will be upgrading mine in around 3 years - as I hand my current car over to junior - but will again be a stock standard, second hand (2 yrs), low km purchase.

Nope....just don't put much money into cars....my car just hit the 10 year mark...but it only has 80k on odometer.

Will have to change because after 10 years you have issues with things in cars....

Yes, you need to calculate it because some people buy cars they don't need.
