Our tenant in Brisbane wants either a portable car port or a shade sail to protect their car, the garage and driveway from natural elements (bat poo) etc. I'm thinking of maybe getting a car shade sail installed as it looks nice.

Are they worth the value with relatively little maintenance or home insurance implications? Are there better alternatives I should look into instead?

    Thanks

I like the idea of the shade sail. I suggest you find out that cost and find out how much extra rent they be willing to pay each week if you installed it. Then see if those numbers make sense.
