I have seen some of the units come down in price from the orginal listed price and coming back on the market when it was "under contract". I assume it's the valuation is off the market price and finance issues.

Very rare to have off the plan come in low in Canberra - I've done heaps over the years and have never had an issue (touch wood). Had the odd one actually come back higher than purchase :)

From memory there was one on the foreshore back in 2014 that came in around $30k higher.

Pretty sure I obtained a similar result for a Belconnen townhouse around the same time too.

I see, back when there wasn't too many on the foreshore, guess it'll be a different story today!

    Thanks

hi all - question for the locals, still bearish on the apartment/unit market in canberra?

I would stick to detached houses. I've experienced both - and the growth with houses has been far superior. The vacancy rate is also lower with houses in my experience (I'm not sure what the data suggests).

    Cheers

whoa - massive growth in the inner south!

Pretty decent growth all round - even Tuggeranong suburbs are performing strongly.

    Cheers

Nice to see some good growth. Surprised they lumped Woden and Weston Creek together.
