    Hi
I have a 1000m2 battleaxe block in Bankstown Canterbury Council area, hoping to build town houses. Is this possible, can you subdivide a battleaxe block?

What does the LEP & DCP say about subdivision?

    What is the zoning?

    Are there any precedents?

Have you spoken with a town planner?

    Local Environmental Plan (LEP)
    Development Control Plan (DCP)
The DCP supports the LEP in providing detailed development controls such as landscaped area, car spaces and building scale.

    and,

Ring your local council and ask to speak to the Duty Planner and ask them if it can be subdivided and/or Google town planners in the area and ring one of them. They should be able to tell you.
