That is bizarre. "drive around and around searching for a carpark" or "its a ghost town" - which is it? Sure, complain about public transport, but the CBD is far from a ghost town these days.

Just because they didn't do any research and don't know where to go doesn't mean there is nowhere worth going. Not even sure what they are expecting - they don't want Sydney CBD or Newtown style of thing, but do want a thriving inner city night life, but also go to a bar in their swimmers? Sounds like someone very difficult to please.

    Cheers,
    Inertia.

I may have to go back up to Newcastle and drive a Taxi if there that hard to get.
Im surprised of the lack of taxis there..I remember when I was driving up there in my Uni days there were tons of Cabs in the City.

Probably because LMCC residents like me dont want anything to do with the corrupt and money wasting NCC.

I also would like to hear more stories about your time driving a taxi. May pass the boredom.

I saw this article, while on holidays, in Monday's Daily Terrorgraph. I haven't been able to find the web link.
It makes some interesting reading for those invested in Newcastle...
